Deputy Prime Minister receives UAE Ambassador

Manama, Oct. 13 (BNA): Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Infrastructure, Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, has asserted the keenness of the kingdom, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and thanks to the follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to continue building on the previous wide-ranging achievements of bilateral cooperation with the UAE, given the unique nature ties between the two brotherly countries. The Deputy Premier highlighted the two countries' efforts to further strengthen relations between them, in line with the aspirations of their leaderships, in order to achieve more complementarity between them for the benefit of the two brotherly peoples. While receiving the Emirati Ambassador to Bahrain, Shaikh Sultan bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla commended the role played by the UAE President, HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, to strengthen the pillars of global and regional peace and stability, through giving priority to peaceful solutions, consolidating dialogue and understanding, as well as activating diplomatic mechanisms to settle conflicts. The two sides discussed the latest developments regionally and internationally, in addition to a number of topics of common interest. The UAE Ambassador expressed thanks and appreciation to the Deputy Prime Minister for the warm welcome. He also praised his keenness to develop bilateral relations to achieve the aspirations of the two brotherly countries' leaderships, wishing Bahrain further progress and prosperity.
