BMAC Deputy Chairman opens new sports hub

Manama, Oct. 12 (BNA): The first club affiliated with the Bahrain Judo Federation (BJF) has officially been inaugurated. Bahrain Martial Arts Council (BMAC) Deputy Chairman Dr. Faisal Khalid Kanoo inaugurated the judo arena, in the presence of UFC GYM owner Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa. The new hub is in line with the policies adopted by General Sports Authority (GSA), led by SCYS First Deputy Chairman and BOC President HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa to use sports in promoting a healthy lifestyle. Dr. Kanoo stressed the importance of the new hub which, he said, will contribute to promoting the culture of sport amongst the community and support national teams capable of representing Bahraini judo in competitions. UFC GYM owner Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa commended the role of BMAC, led by GSA Deputy Chairman HH Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, in developing martial art sports in Bahrain.
