Industry Minister participates in inauguration of Factories of Future programme

Riyadh, Oct. 19 (BNA): Within the framework of the meetings of the GCC Ministers of Industry and Commerce in Riyadh, the Minister of Industry and Commerce Zayed bin Rashid Al-Zayani took part in the inauguration of the Factories of the Future programme, with the participation of the Ministers of Industry and Commerce of the GCC member states. The event was held at the Prince Saud Al Faisal Conference Centre at the Secretariat General headquarters in Riyadh. The Minister of Industry and Commerce praised the goals of the programme, which was launched by the Saudi Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources. He also lauded the development role of such ambitious programmes which aim to upgrade the industrial sector in general. The inauguration of the Factories of the Future programme is part of the endeavours of the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources to develop factories from the traditional into digital ones so as to boost competitiveness of the national industry in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
