Health Minister participates in GCC meetings

Riyadh, Oct. 22 (BNA): Minister of Health, Dr. Jalila bint Al-Sayed Jawad Hassan, chaired Bahrain’s delegation at the 8th meeting of the GCC Health Ministers and the 85th meeting of the GCC Health Ministers Council, which convened in Riyadh on October 21 and 22. Addressing the meeting, the Health Minister expressed thanks and appreciation for the distinguished efforts made in organizing the meetings and achieving the common GCC goals. She noted that the range of issues raised were centred around developing pioneering GCC health models to ensure continuous development of the health sectors and achieve the desired goals and aspirations. The Health Minister pointed out the significance to continue promoting cooperation in the health field to further upgrade the health sector in the Gulf countries. The Bahraini delegation comprised Health Ministry Undersecretary Dr. Walid Khalifa Al Mena’a, Assistant Undersecretary for Public Health Dr. Meriam Ibrahim Al Hajeri and Director of Communication Meriam Ali Al-Menasir.
