Finance Minister meets Chairman of Saudi Telecommunications Company

Riyadh, Oct. 26 (BNA): Minister of Finance and National Economy, Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, stressed the importance attached to the telecommunications and information technology sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain and keenness on further developing it in line with the goals of the economic recovery plan. He was speaking at a meeting today with Board Chairman of Saudi Telecommunications Company (STC), His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Khalid Al Abdullah Al Faisal. The meeting was held on the sidelines of the Minister of Finance and National Economy’s participation in the Future Investment Initiative held in Riyadh. The Minister of Finance and National Economy pointed out the importance to continue supporting the digital infrastructure of the telecommunications and information technology sector in order to enhance its competitiveness and enable it to cope with technological progress. Both sides also discussed ways of boosting joint cooperation regarding technological projects.
