NIHR receives head of EU's Arabian Peninsula Division

Manama, Nov. 1 (BNA): National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR)'s President Ali Ahmed Al Derazi received Head of European Union (EU) Arabian Peninsula and Iraq Division Anna-Maria Panagiotakopoulou. The NIHR President praised the bilateral relations at all levels and stressed the importance of such visits for the development of human rights field under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. The meeting discussed topics of common concern and the institution’s ways in addressing these issues and its role in spreading, promoting and protecting human rights in Bahrain. The two sides also discussed ways to enhance cooperation in the human rights and legal fields, especially organizing conferences and workshops, exchanging expertise and national capacity building.
