Bahrain Forum for Dialogue sends peace message to the world

Manama, Nov. 1 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s role in supporting peaceful coexistence, tolerance and acceptance of others has been hailed. “HM the King’s approach aims to achieve security stability and promote constructive human cooperation in the world”,said King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence Board of Trustees’ Chairman Dr. Shaikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa. He said that the hosting of the “Bahrain Forum .. East-West Dialogue for Human Coexistence" reflects Bahrain’s role in serving humanity as a model of tolerance and coexistence”, he said. The forum will be held under the aegis of HM the King, coinciding with the with the historical official visit of His Holiness Pope Francis visit to Bahrain at the invitation of HM the King. The event will be attended by Al Azhar Grand Imam, Muslim Council of Elders Chairman His Eminence Dr. Ahmed Al Tayyib, in the presence of other key religious leader. “HM the King confirms through his initiatives that he is a man of peace and is keen on peaceful coexistence to prevail among all, according to pillars that stem from a comprehensive global view”, said Dr. Shaikh Khalid. He said that Bahrain will be the focus of the world’s attention during the days forum, which will highlight the Kingdom’s unique cultural heritage of tolerance, coexistence and dialogue. He described the forum, which will be co-chaired by Al Azhar Grand Imam and Pope Francis as an historic event which builds on HM the King’s initiatives,including “Bahrain’s Declaration”. He noted that His Holiness the Pope's choice to visit Bahrain reflects the extent of the Kingdom's international respect and appreciation, in light of its tireless efforts to establish the foundations of an international system that respects human rights and contributes to spreading the values of coexistence and brotherhood. “The visit and the forum send a message to the world that Bahrain, under the leadership of HM the King, embraces every human thought and effort that believes and seeks peace and goodness for people everywhere”, he said. He said that King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence is honoured to organise the forum in cooperation with the Muslim Council of Elders and the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs.
