Seoul shares inch up in late morning
SEOUL, June 8 (Yonhap) -- South Korean stocks traded 0.24 percent higher late
Monday morning as foreign investors picked up large-cap shares, analysts said.
The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) rose 3.41 points to
1,396.12 as of 11:20 a.m.
Foreign investors scooped up major tech and construction companies. They turned
net buyers last Friday after selling for three consecutive sessions.
The Korean currency was trading at 1,252 won to the U.S. dollar as of 11:20 a.m.,
down 9 won from Friday's close.
