World Travel Mart London 2022 Provides Platform To Promote Malaysia's Johor Tourism
KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 11 (Bernama) -- Malaysia’s southern state government Johor, through Tourism Johor, sees the 'Majestic Johor' branding as providing added value through participation in the international tourism exhibition, World Travel Market London 2022, which took place from Nov 7 to 9 at the Excel Exhibition Centre, London.
Tourism Johor, in a statement Friday, said that this exhibition is part of the state government’s initiatives to promote the attraction and uniqueness of the state’s tourist destinations, as well as the diversity of its art and culture, on the international stage for the European market.
“Among the focuses introduced is island and beach tourism, as an attraction for foreign tourists to visit beautiful islands off Mersing, such as Pulau Rawa (which is nicknamed the Maldives of Malaysia), Pulau Besar, Pulau Tinggi, Pulau Pemanggil, Pulau Aur, Pulau Dayang and Pulau Sibu.
“Desaru, on the other hand, is recognised as one of the 100 Best Destinations in the World as a beach escape destination, which offers world-class and exclusive hotels and resorts,” read the statement.
In addition, Tourism Johor also focuses on eco-tourism products as the state is rich in natural treasures and biodiversity, as well as heritage tourism with the legacy of various arts and cultures.
Apart from that, Tourism Johor also brought several agencies and industry players, such as the Johor National Park Corporation, several product operators, hotels, resorts, theme parks and airlines, to have the opportunity to expand the promotional network with European tourism operators.
The World Travel Market, which involves the participation of more than 90 countries and organisations from around the world, is a platform for the state government to highlight and expand the promotional network, as well as business and investment opportunities related to the tourism sector in Johor.
