Seoul stocks open higher on foreign buying

SEOUL, June 9 (Yonhap) -- South Korean stocks opened higher Tuesday, boosted by
foreign buying, analysts said.
The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) added 15.88 points, or
1.14 percent, to 1,409.18 in the first 15 minutes of trading.
Leading tech and major construction companies started higher as foreign investors
scooped up large-cap shares. Foreigners were net buyers for the last two
sessions.
The local currency was trading at 1,252.35 won to the U.S. dollar as of 9:15
a.m., up 0.05 won from Monday's close.
