UK's Finastra set to open centre of excellence in Malaysia, expand footprint in Asia-Pacific

From Mohd Iswandi Kasan Anuar JAKARTA, Dec 1 (Bernama) -- Global financial software provider Finastra is set to launch a centre of excellence (COE) at the MRANTI Technology Park in Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur that will help to expand its Asia Pacific footprint. The COE will contribute to the local economy, and promote careers in science, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics in a region dedicated to innovation, according to the UK-based company. “Growth in Asia Pacific is one of our company’s key strategic commitments and opening a COE in Kuala Lumpur is an important milestone to help us achieve this goal,” its chief executive officer Simon Paris said in a statement. The new COE at MRANTI complements the company’s collaborative mantra to drive innovation and technology around digital trade, digital finance and acceleration to the cloud, he added. “It is a testament to our highly valued Malaysian banking and financial services customers,” he said. MRANTI Technology Park is a hub for technology innovation, commercial adoption, and scientific excellence. Finastra said it will benefit from MRANTI’s integrated infrastructure and services and tap into local IT talent, including from nearby universities and the growing start-up technology community there. -- BERNAMA
