GCC Secretary General denounces European Parliament’s resolution

Riyadh, Dec.18 (BNA): Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary General Dr. Nayef Falah Mubarak Al Hajraf denounced the resolution issued by the European Parliament regarding human rights in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Dr. Al Hajrah said that the resolution which comes as an extension of false and inaccurate information aims to tarnish the reputation of the Kingdom of Bahrain. He expressed solidarity with the Kingdom of Bahrain regarding the allegations contained in the resolution, which are far from reality. He commended Bahrain's commitment to human rights principles and international standards as well as its unwavering efforts to protect rights and freedoms of all citizens and residents on its territory. Dr. Al Hajraf voiced his categorical rejection of any blatant interference in the internal affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain and its Bahraini judicial system.
