Health Ministry wins Arab award

Manama, Jan. 9 (BNA): The health sector, represented by the Ministry of Health, won the Best Arab Government Project Award to develop the health sector through the "telemedicine and therapy" project which was implemented by the Ministry of Health through the primary healthcare centres. The award was bestowed upon the Ministry of Health during the second session of the Arab Government Excellence Award (2021-2022) which was held at the Arab League headquarters in Cairo. The Ministry of Health won the award among three ones granted to the Kingdom of Bahrain in the institutional field of the Arab Government Excellence Award which was launched in 2019 under the patronage of the UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The "telemedicine" project won the award for the best Arab government project to develop the health sector. The shield and certificate of excellence were presented to Dr. Khatun Shubar, the family medicine consultant, chairperson of the Quality Committee in the primary health care centers and representative of telemedicine services, and Dr. Hind Al-Sanadi, the family medicine consultant and vice-Chairperson of the committee.
