Education Ministry wins Arab excellence award

Manama, Jan. 9 (BNA): The Ministry of Education won the Arab Government Excellence Award for its "My Digital Library" project, which was selected as the best Arab government project to develop education. The ministry was honored in a ceremony held at the Arab League headquarters in Cairo, Egypt, under the patronage of the UAE Vice-President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Education Minister Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma’a asserted that the award underlines the great care and support accorded by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to the educational sector. He also commended continuous follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, which enabled the ministry to bring about numerous accomplishments. The organisers of the award praised the Bahraini educational project, which aims to provide a distinguished digital content produced by teachers, students and specialists in the schools of the Kingdom of Bahrain through its website. The project was praised for its quality in terms of preparation, design, artistic production and content.
