Seoul stocks open lower on profit-taking
SEOUL, June 11 (Yonhap) -- South Korean stocks opened lower Thursday as investors
locked in profits from the previous session's rally, analysts said.
The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) lost 0.48 points, or 0.03
percent, to 1,414.40 in the first 15 minutes of trading.
Most large-cap shares traded in negative territory as investors booked profits on
Wednesday's surge.
The local currency was trading at 1,253.3 to the U.S. dollar as of 9:15 a.m.,
down 6.6 won from Wednesday's close.
