Seoul shares up 0.33 pct in late morning
SEOUL, June 11 (Yonhap) -- South Korean stocks traded 0.33 percent higher late
Thursday morning, boosted by strong foreign buying, analysts said.
The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) rose 4.62 points to
1,419.50 as of 11:20 a.m.
Major shares traded mixed, with market leader Samsung Electronics driving the
market gains.
The local currency was trading at 1,248.6 won to the U.S. dollar as of 11:20
a.m., down 1.9 won from Wednesday's close, on rising U.S. interest rates that
could make the greenback stronger.
