By Nam Kwang-sik
SEOUL, June 11 (Yonhap) -- Three South Korean builders are likely to obtain a 3
trillion won (US$2.4 billion) order from Saudi Arabia to build a refinery plant
in the country's eastern area, industry sources said Thursday.

The three builders -- Daelim Industrial Co., SK Engineering & Construction Co.
and Samsung Engineering Co.-- have bid for the Jubail export refinery project,
which was awarded by Saudi Aramco, the state-owned national oil company of Saudi
Arabia and Total, a French oil company, they said.
The plant to be built in Al Jubail will have a daily processing capacity of
400,000 barrels and cost $11 billion, the sources said.
"The South Korean builders are in talks with Aramco and Total to finalize the
deal," the sources said.
Aramco and Total are slated to announce the winning bidder on Tuesday, they added.
