Phillip Noyce to come once again to Hanoi

Hanoi (VNA) – The well-known Hollywood director, Phillip Noyce, has revealed that
he would come once again to Hanoi in early 2010.

The director of “The Quiet American”, the first Hollywood film shot in
Vietnam in 2002, was talking with the Thanh Nien (Young People) daily about his
plan to return to the country.

He said he was excited with an invitation to give lectures at the Hanoi-based
Theatre and Cinematographic School . Busy in the role of the director of
“Salt”, an action film starring Angelina Jolie to be screened in 2010, Noyce
said he was trying to arrange his work schedule to come to Vietnam for three
months.

Noyce spent seven years on seeking scenes for “The Quiet American” in
Vietnam , as from 1995. He said the work also served his hobby of travelling.

His “The Quiet American” with beautiful scenes in Hanoi , Ho Chi Minh City ,
Hoi An ancient town, and Ninh Binh province really brought impressive images of
Vietnam to the world audiences.-Enditem
