Bahrain, U.S. discuss youth programs

Manama, Feb. 21 (BNA): Minister of Youth Affairs Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfeeqi received the U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary for Academic Programs Ethan Rosenzweig in the presence of the U.S. Ambassador to Bahrain Steven Bondy.
The minister affirmed the keenness of Bahrain to strengthen youth relations between the two countries and deepen cooperation through joint youth programs.
Tawfeeqi gave an overview of the Bahraini model for investing in youth energy, which focuses on empowering youth leaders, building their capacity and skills, supporting their projects, in addition to discovering, refining and highlighting talents to contribute to shaping the future.
The two sides discussed prospects for bilateral action and ways to develop them on youth projects and initiatives that would contribute to enhancing youth participation in various fields.
