BDF operates first relief flight to Turkiye

Manama, Feb. 21 (BNA): In implementation of the royal directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, to provide the needed support to the affected people in Syria and Turkiye following the devastating earthquake which rocked both countries recently, Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) operated its first humanitarian relief flight, through the Royal Bahrain Air Force, to Turkiye with 55.7 tonnes onboard, including medical equipment, tents as well as food and logistic aid.
The consignment was dispatched in coordination with the Royal Humanitarian Foundation to alleviate the sufferings of the affected people by the earthquake.
The air bridge will continue to send aid for many days as part of the humanitarian efforts of the Kingdom of Bahrain towards brotherly and friendly countries.
