Guterres From Baghdad: The Iraqis Will Overcome The Challenges

Baghdad / NINA / - The Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, expressed his happiness at visiting Iraq.

 "We are confident that the Iraqis will overcome the challenges," Guterres said in a press conference with Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein after his arrival in Baghdad.

 The Secretary-General of the United Nations welcomed the Iraqi government's efforts to facilitate the return of the displaced from abroad," noting that he had visited the Iraqi community in Syria and witnessed the conditions that facilitate their return to Iraq.

 The Minister of Foreign Affairs thanked the Secretary-General of the United Nations for this visit.

 He stressed, "Iraq's relationship with the United Nations is strong," praising Guterres' role for supporting Iraq at various stages.

 The Foreign Minister expressed his aspiration to hold intensive meetings and discussions with the Secretary-General about developments in the political situation in Iraq, the region and the global situation. It is mentioned that the United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres arrived in Baghdad for an official visit. Guterres was received by Foreign Minister Foua d Hussein.
