DON'T ACT EXCESSIVELY, HISHAMMUDDIN TELLS IRANIANS IN MALAYSIA

KUALA LUMPUR, June 16 (Bernama) -- Home Minister Hishammuddin
Hussein Tuesday warned Iranian nationals not to resort to excessive actions while
in Malaysia.

He said public safety and national stability were important and the ministry
would not allow foreigners to bring external issues to the streets in this
country.

"I want to give a warning don't look at Malaysia as a place for them to
create chaos and I have told the authorities to take firm action because safety
in the streets, the safety of our people, the movement of people should not be
directly brought into their country's political crisis," he said at the
Parliament lobby.

He was commenting on the commotion in front of the United Nations building
in Jalan Semantan here Monday when about 700 Iranians staged an illegal
gathering to protest the re-election of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on
Friday.
