KNOW INDIA PROGRAMME FOR INDIAN YOUTH
KUALA LUMPUR, June 16 (Bernama) -- The youth of Indian origin are invited
to apply for the Know India Programme (KIP), a programme to associate the
younger generation of the Indian diaspora closely with India.
A statement from the Indian High Commission here says the
programme is open to youth of Indian origin (excluding Non-Resident Indians
like NRIs) in the age group of 18-26 years.
Eleven such programmes have been organised so far, and the KIP provides a
unique forum for students and young professionals of Indian origin to share
their views, expectations and experience to bond closely with contemporary
India.
The 12th KIP is expected to commence in August, in partnership with the
state governments of Karnataka and Himachal Pradesh and will last three weeks.
