Manama, June 20 (BNA): The colt "Bradsell" made history under the Victorious emblem after it won the 1000-metre race to clinch the title of King Stand Stake for the first category of speed horses, at Ascot Racecourse on the first day of the Royal Ascot Festival.
HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty the King's Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS) Chairman expressed delight at the achievement.
He said the victory reflects the standing of Bahrain's equestrian sports in international sports arenas and string of achievements at the Royal Ascot Festival, which is considered one of the strongest races in the world.
