Two Koreas reach World Cup finals together for first time

SEOUL, June 18 (Yonhap) -- North Korea won an automatic berth in the 2010 World
Cup finals Thursday by finishing second in its regional group after the final
qualifier.

South Korea earned its spot last week, sending both Koreas to the tournament
together for the first time.
North Korea tied 0-0 with Saudi Arabia in the game that determined the second of
two tickets for Group B to the World Cup opening in South Africa next year.
Although tied, North Korea led its rival in the number of total goals.
It would be the North's second appearance in the finals. It reached the final
eight in 1966.
