According to a press release by OZ Minerals Limited in Vientiane on 17 June the new company will be operated as a group called MMG (which stands for Minerals and Metals Group), with a head office in Melbourne, Australia.
This Chinese company is the 100 per cent owner of the Australian company, MMC.
While Chinese Minmetals owns assets of OZ, but MMG owns 90 per cent of Sepon and the Lao government has a 10 per cent ownership.
