Civil Defence takes part in GCC directors general meeting

Riyadh, Aug. 16 (BNA): The General Directorate of Civil Defence took part in the 32nd meeting of the Directors-General of Civil Defence in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.

The meeting was held at the headquarters of the GCC Secretariat General in Saudi Arabia.

In implementation of the directives of GCC interior ministers, the meeting tackled ways and mechanisms of coordination in the field of civil protection and preventive safety, as well as the enhancement of cooperation among the GCC states. It also followed up on the reports of the technical teams of public safety and the prevention of hazardous materials were also discussed.

The meeting also discussed activating joint cooperation in broadcasting awareness materials related to public safety and holding joint training courses.
