Seoul stocks down 0.03 pct in late morning

SEOUL, June 19 (Yonhap) -- South Korean stocks traded 0.03 percent lower late
Friday morning on massive institutional selling.

The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) trimmed 0.40 points to
1,375.36 as of 11:20 a.m.
The broader index fluctuated between gains and losses in volatile trading as most
tech shares dragged down the market. Market bellwether Samsung Electronics,
however, traded in positive territory.
The local currency was trading at 1,264.65 won to the U.S. dollar as of 11:20
a.m., up 1.65 won from Thursday's close, as foreign investors scooped up
financial shares.
