Asian Table Tennis Championship Begins Sunday in Korea

Seoul, September 02 (QNA) - The 26th Asian Table Tennis Championship, hosted by the Korean city of Pyeongchang, will start Sunday until September 10, with the participation of 23 Asian countries.
Khalil Al Mohannadi, President of the Qatari, Arab and Asian federations, First Vice-President of the International Table Tennis Federation, officially opened the tournament during a ceremony held in Pyeongchang, in the presence of Korean officials led by President of the Korean Table Tennis Federation Yoo Seung-min.
In a speech at the ceremony, Al Mohannadi noted Korea's great capabilities that contribute to the success of the continental event and its best outcome.
Al Mohannadi stressed that table tennis in the Asian continent has a very special and exceptional position, and Asia has successfully imposed itself on the global level.
To be chaired by Khalil Al Mohannadi, the executive office of the International Table Tennis Federation will hold a meeting tomorrow during which many important issues on the agenda will be discussed. (QNA)
