Saudi Arabia Partakes in GSW-2023 in Cairo

Cairo, September 03, 2023, SPA -- The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the General Authority for Survey and Geospatial Information (GASGI), is participating in the Geospatial Week 2023 (GSW-2023) international conference, which is held in Egypt from September 2 to 7.
Held under the theme "Remote Sensing for a Better Future", the conference is organized by the International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS) in cooperation with the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport (AASTMT).
GASGI President Dr. Mohammed Al-Sayel heads the Kingdom's delegation.
Al-Sayel said while delivering the Kingdom's speech that the GSW-2023 embodies the spirit of cooperation, innovation and progress, adding that its participation reaffirms its commitment to maximizing the benefits of geospatial technologies.
Several international organizations and over 1000 researchers, scientists and experts will attend the conference to discuss various topics concerning geospatial information, including remote sensing, space science, data science, image processing, and surveying and its applications in various fields.
The conference includes training workshops and a scientific exhibition of promising technologies and innovations.
GASGI, an official sponsor of the conference, is participating with a pavilion to showcase its latest products and services in the field of geospatial information, as well as the products of several other government agencies, including the Saline Water Conversion Corporation, the National Center for Wildlife, the National Center of Meteorology, and the National Center for Vegetation Development and Combating Desertification.
