UNHCR's Chief to visit ِArab Naif University

Riyadh, June 22, SPA -- The Commissioner of the United Nations High
Commission for Refugees (UNHCR), Antonio Guterres, accompanied by
Director of the Commission's Department of Middle East and North
Africa Rudhwan Nowaisser, will visit on Tuesday Naif Arab University
for Security Sciences.

During the visit, they will take part in the University's
inauguration of Comparative Study entitled "Right of Asylum between
Islamic Sharia and International Law for Refugees" under the
patronage of Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz, the Second Deputy Premier and
Minister of Interior, who is also President of the University's
Supreme Council, and is scheduled to grace the graduation ceremony of
higher studies graduates from the University for the year 1430H.

Guterres expressed his admiration for the advanced level achieved by
Naif Arab University, noting that the University has always been
present at international arenas through its scientific researches and
studies as well as through its advisory consultations and various
training programs.

He stressed the Commission's pride in cooperation with this
pioneering University, and said the University's adorable efforts are
aimed at achieving comprehensive security at regional and
international arenas

He expressed his optimism that this on-going cooperation between the
University and the Commission would accomplish common goals and
mission.

On his part, the University's Rector Dr. Abdulaziz bin Saqr Al-Ghamdi
pointed out that Prince Naif always emphasizes in his directives to
strengthen cooperation with international organizations and foreign
universities with the primary goals of exchanging experiences and
benefiting from international expertise.

He also expressed his thanks to UN High Commissioner for Refugees
for visiting the University and affirmed that it will support joint
action to be developed towards an effective partnership to achieve
international security.
