Deputy Prime Minister receives French Ambassador

Manama, Nov. 27 (BNA): Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, the Deputy Prime Minister, has praised the steady growth of cooperation and coordination between Bahrain and France across various fields of their existing partnership.

The Deputy Premier was speaking while receiving Eric Giraud-Telme, the newly appointed French Ambassador to Bahrain, whom he wished a happy stay in Bahrain, and every success in carrying out his diplomatic duties.

Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla stressed the importance of carrying on efforts to increase the levels of bilateral trade, as well as encourage the private sector in the two countries to explore investment opportunities in various fields, which will benefit the two countries and achieve their common goals.

The Deputy Premier and the French Ambassador also reviewed the latest regional and global developments.

They also discussed issues of mutual interest, and ways to broaden bilateral cooperation.
