Laos-Vietnam joint venture bank marks 10th anniversary

(KPL) A ceremony to mark the 10th founding anniversary of the Laos-Vietnam Joint Venture Bank was officially held in Vientiane last Friday in the presence of Standing Deputy Prime Minister Somsavat Lengsavad and other Lao and Vietnamese banking officials.
As a joint venture bank between the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) and the Bank for Commerce of Laos (BCEL), the LVB, headquartered in Vientiane, has opened three more branches, one in Laos’ southern Champassak province and the other two in Hanoi and Ho Chi. One more office of Laos- Vietnam Joint Venture Bank will be soon established in Savannakhet province of Laos.
The capital investment of LBV has increased since its initial period from 10 US million to 15 US million and to 37.5 US million by the end of 2009.
