Lao sub-titles for Channel 4 of Vietnam inserted
(KPL) A television channel of Vietnam (Channel 4) has recently inserted Lao language sub-titles for its Vietnamese language programmes.
The new office where the sub-titling work is being carried out, located in Ban Sivilay, Saythany district, Vientiane Capital, was handed over to the Lao National Television on 18 June.During the hand-over ceremony, held at Lao National Television Station on 18 June, the Vietnamese Ambassador to Laos, Mr. Ta Minh Chau ceremonially handed over the premises to the Deputy Minister of Information and Culture, Dr Borsengknam Vongdala.
The Vietnamese government funded the 2 billion kip building and it was ready for occupation in June 2009. It has two floors and 12 rooms and its area is 600 square metres.
During this occasion, Director of Lao National Television, Mr. Bounchom Vongphet, expressed thanks to the Vietnamese government for her generous assistance to Lao mass media and added that this is part of the ongoing cooperation between the national television stations of the two countries.
