Al Wakrah Municipality Enters Guinness World Records for Largest Flower Bouquet

Doha, December 23 (QNA) - The Ministry of Municipality, represented by Al Wakrah Municipality, inaugurated the largest natural flower bouquet in the world and registered it in the Guinness World Records, in cooperation with the Seashore Group.
A lineup of ministry officials, Cultural Village Foundation (Katara) representatives, the Guinness World Records representatives, and members of the general public attended the inauguration.
Located at Al Hikma Square in Katara, the bouquet is 6 meters high and 6 meters in diameter, consisting of (5564) local Petunia seedlings of various colors, carefully selected and coordinated in a creative and artistic fashion, with the entire event constituting yet another one of the State of Qatar and the Ministry of Municipality's outstanding achievements.
Al Wakrah Municipality Director Eng. Mohammed Hassan Al Nuaimi said that the bouquet was made in a sustainable manner, whereby an environmentally friendly irrigation system was used, with the bouquet's flowers to be handed out to Katara visitors after the end of the event.
Al Nuaimi added that this bouquet reflects the beauty and diversity of Qatari nature and affirms to the world the State of Qatar's commitment to sustainability and protecting the environment. (QNA)
