Seoul stocks open lower on foreign selling


SEOUL, June 24 (Yonhap) -- South Korean stocks started slightly lower Wednesday,
dented by foreign selling, analysts said.

The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) dropped 1.82 point, or
0.13 percent, to 1,358.72 in the first 15 minutes of trading.
Foreign and institutional investors continued their sell-offs on economic
recovery concerns, keeping the key index in the red.
The local currency was trading at 1,281.65 won to the U.S. dollar as of 9:15
a.m., up 9.35 won from Tuesday's close.
