Korea Kumho Petrochemical completes plant construction in China

SEOUL, June 24 (Yonhap) -- South Korean chemical producer Korea Kumho
Petrochemical Co. said Wednesday it has completed the construction of a US$40
million plant in Shandong Province, China.

The plant will produce 150,000 tons a year of SB-Latex for paper coating, the
company said in a statement.
Kumho established a 50:50 joint venture named Rizhao Kumho Jinma Chemical Co.
with China's Rizhao Jinam Group in 2007 to produce SB-Latex.
Kumho predicted that the joint venture's annual sales will be $130 million.
Kumho Petrochemical Shenyang Co., a joint venture between Kumho and China's
Shenyang Chemical Industry Construction Investment Co., will also break ground on
Thursday for a plant, in Shenyang, an industrial city in China's northeastern
region.
The plant will annually produce 12,800 tons of commercial building materials such
as extruded polystyrene foam starting May 2010,.
