Rally to mark 35th anniversary of establishing Lao-DPRK diplomatic relations
(KPL) The ministry of foreign affairs in collaboration with the embassy of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea oraganised a rally at the national culture hall to mark the 35th anniversary of establishing the Lao-DPRK diplomatic relations.
Attending at the function were Mr. Sisavath Keobounphanh, LPRP CC Politburo member of the Party CC and Chairman of the Lao Front for National Construction, Mr. Sombath Yaliher, Mayor of Vientiane Capital, DPRK Ambassador to Laos, ministers, deputy ministers and senior officials from concern ministries.
Speaking at the function, Mr. Hiem Phommachanh, Deputy Minister of the Foreign Affairs highlighted about long history of the friendship relation and co-operation between Laos and DPRK, especially the assistance and supports from DPRK offered to Lao government and people during the Lao revolutionary period. He said that since the Lao liberation in 1975, the relation and co-operation between Laos and DPRK has been constantly developed.
He also expressed the hope that under leadership of the Worker Party, the people of the DPRK would success in their task on national defense and construction.
