Oscar winner condemns Holocaust “hijacked by an occupation”

Tehran, IRNA – Film director and writer Jonathan Glazer condemned the appropriation of the Holocaust by an occupying force during his speech at the 2024 Oscars.

Glazer made this statement while accepting the Best International Feature Film award for ‘The Zone of Interest’ at the Academy Awards on March 10.

His speech directly referenced the Gaza war, which has claimed the lives of over 30,000 Palestinians since October 7, 2023.
