U.S. embassy to give Obama`s autobiography to Korean lawmakers
SEOUL, June 26 (Yonhap) -- The U.S. embassy in South Korea plans to give copies
of President Barack Obama's auotobiography to lawmakers as gifts, embassy
officials said Friday, after the book was recently found to be the most borrowed
book at the parliament library.
The U.S. embassy will deliver 350 copies of the Korean-language version of
Obama's autobiography, "The Audacity of Hope," to the National Assembly Library
on Monday, library and embassy officials said.
The book was tallied as the most frequently borrowed book by the lawmakers from
the library since the opening of the current 18th National Assembly, which began
its four-year tenure on May 30, 2008.
The books will be distributed to the 296 incumbent lawmakers as well as
legislative staffers in the near future, officials said.
