Sunni Endowments Directorate publishes book on mosques built during HM King’s era

Manama, Mar. 21 (BNA): The Sunni Endowments Directorate has published a book on the mosques and places of worship built His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s prosperous era.  

The 499-page book includes excerpts from HM the King’s statements in which HM calls for promoting tolerance, disseminating the principles of the noble Islamic religion and the lofty values adopted by the Bahraini society throughout the kingdom’s long history.  

The book also features a speech by Dr. Shaikh Rashid bin Mohammed bin Futtais Al Hajeri, Sunni Endowments Council Chairman, in which he emphasised the role of mosques in Islam as educational and moral platforms.

This book aims to document the mosques and places of worship built during the reign of His Majesty the King, and their role in promoting Islamic culture, regarding the sciences of the Quran and the Sunnah, in addition to the consolidation of the values of moderation and tolerance. It also reflects the kingdom’s keenness to preserve the Islamic architectural heritage and Bahraini identity in architecture.
