Saudi Arabia Welcomes UN Security Council Resolution on Gaza Ceasefire during Ramadan

Riyadh, March 25, 2024, SPA -- The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has expressed support for the recent United Nations Security Council resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip during the holy month of Ramadan. The resolution demands an immediate ceasefire for the month of Ramadan, the immediate and unconditional release of hostages and "the urgent need to expand the flow" of aid into Gaza.
Saudi Arabia reiterated its call upon the international community to take decisive action to halt the Israeli occupation's attacks on Gaza's civilian population. The Kingdom stressed the urgency of ending the suffering of the Palestinian people and offering them hope for a future free from conflict. This includes achieving their right to self-determination and living in peace within a viable Palestinian state established on the basis of the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
