OIC Welcomes UN Security Council Resolution on Gaza Ceasefire

Jeddah, March 26, 2024, SPA -- The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) welcomed the UN Security Council resolution demanding an immediate ceasefire in Gaza during the month of Ramadan, saying that it is an essential step toward the international community’s assuming its responsibilities to stop the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people, which has been going on for six months.
OIC called for compelling Israel to implement the resolution immediately, and to ensure adequate and safe delivery of humanitarian aid to all parts of Gaza Strip.
It renewed its call on the international community to put an end to all war crimes committed by the Israeli occupation, including settlements, destruction, forced displacement and the genocide to which the Palestinian people are subjected in all the occupied Palestinian territory.
