Mikdad and Abdollahian: Israeli aggression on Iranian Consulate is violation of international laws

Damascus, SANA-Foreign and Expatriates Minister, Fayssal Mikdad, said that the fascist Israeli occupation entity, which is founded on malice and hatred, was not satisfied with the crimes it is committing daily under support of the United States in Gaza Strip and the West Bank, but rather, it continues its attacks on Syrian and Lebanese territories, stressing that its aggression on the Iranian consulate in Damascus is a violation of international laws and all values ​​on which humanity was founded.
“Our meeting today comes after the terrorist crime and the very serious incident represented by the Israeli aggression on the Iranian consulate in Damascus, through which the entity violated all the values ​​on which humanity was founded as Nazi Zionism did not leave behind any crime committed in the two world wars, the first and second, but, were committed,” Mikdad said in a press conference with his Iranian counterpart, Hussein Amir Abdollahian, in Damascus. 

Mikdad added that the Israeli occupation escalated its attacks on the lands of Syria during the past few days and weeks because Syria has always stood by the Palestinian people, and it was not late at all in providing various types of support to defend their cause, reaffirming Syria’s firm stance with Resistance, as the Syrian people sacrificed a lot for their belief in this just cause. 

For his part, the Iranian Foreign Minister said “we held important discussions and consultations with President of the friendly Syrian Arab Republic, President Bashar al-Assad, and we touched upon bilateral relations, important regional and international issues, especially those related to Palestine the terrorist war committed by the Zionist entity against the Iranian consulate in Damascus,” stressing that Syria is on the front line of the axis of resistance and that its security is a priority for the whole region. 

“From here, from Damascus, I say with loud voice that the United States is responsible for the terrorist crime against the Iranian Consulate and must be held accountable, and the Zionist entity will be punished for its crime,” Abdollahian said, indicating that non – condemnation of this crime by the United States, Britain, and France confirms that Washington has granted the green light to the entity to commit that crime,” Abdollahian said.
