Earthquakes Shake Harat Al-Shaqah in Kingdom
Riyadh, June 27, SPA -- Saudi Geological Survey said that National
Networks for Seismic Monitoring recorded an earthquake in Harat
Al-Shaqah, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, measuring 3.5 on the
Richter scale, at the depth of 6.75 k.m., as well as dozens of weak
aftershocks measuring less than 3 degrees on the Richter scale over
the last 24 hours.
The Survey stressed that that rates of all changes in terms of
thermal measurements, concentrations of radon gas, carbon dioxide,
and the widening cracks in the ground have been satisfactory.
