Steps Taken to Ramp up Aquiculture in DPRK

Pyongyang, April 18 (KCNA) -- The Ministry of Fisheries of the DPRK has taken measures to ramp up aquiculture.
Officials of the ministry went to sea culture farms to learn about the state of aquaculture and solve problems.
They strive to produce aquaculture in a scientific way and encourage the producers.
All the units have modern measuring equipments to create conditions favorable for growing seaweeds in a far-sighted way.
The ministry is paying attention to increasing production by planting mussels on a large scale at the sea culture farms on the east sea coast.
It sees to it that the provincial fishery management bureaus in the east sea coast selected model units in mussel farming and directed big efforts to disseminating the advanced experience to other units. -0-
