DPRK Puts Big Efforts into Education

 Pyongyang, April 22 (KCNA) -- A brisk campaign is in full swing in different parts of the DPRK to improve the educational conditions and environment.
Thanks to the devoted efforts of officials and working people across the country who have turned out with passion to thoroughly implement the Workers' Party of Korea's idea of attaching importance to education, scores of schools and kindergartens were built and remodeled and more than 3 700 multi-functional classrooms were built in the first quarter of the year.
Officials and working people in Pyongyang Municipality and provinces of North Hamgyong, North Hwanghae and South Hwanghae have pushed ahead with the construction and reconstruction of schools and kindergartens.
Jagang Province held consultative meetings to modernize the educational spaces and, at the same time, officials found themselves among the masses to conduct a political work and stepped up the building project of multi-functional classrooms.
Nampho Municipality, too, informed the officials of the support organizations of the significance and importance of the modernization of education so that they could take part in this work as befitting masters.
Officials and working people in many other regions provided educational facilities, information facilities and equipment needed for setting up a state data communication network to raise the efficiency of teaching to the maximum, thus contributing to putting education on an IT and modern basis of a higher level. -0-
