Riyadh to Host 'GREAT FUTURES' Initiative between Saudi Arabia, UK on May 14-15

Riyadh, April 24, 2024, SPA -- Riyadh is set to host the "GREAT FUTURES" initiative, a 12-month campaign aimed at fostering strong partnerships between Saudi Arabia and the UK in economic and development areas, aligned with Saudi Vision 2030.
The event, which will take place on May 14-15 at the King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD), will be attended by over 350 UK government officials and business leaders, led by Deputy Prime Minister Oliver Dowden.
The initiative supports the Saudi-British Strategic Partnership Council's efforts to boost economic ties, particularly in promising sectors, to facilitate trade and create investment opportunities.
Dowden highlighted technology and innovation as key areas of collaboration covering research and development, clean technology, financial technology, and sustainable construction.
The initiative also includes Quality of Life sectors, such as art, fashion, media, education, sport, architecture, and tourism.
Saudi Minister of Commerce Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi stressed that the "GREAT FUTURES" initiative is bound to foster partnerships between businesses involved in innovation and technology from the two countries, adding that significant advancements in Saudi Arabia's innovation, technology, and digital services were driven by Saudi Vision 2030.
The initiative is a notable global event that draws the most creative and innovative companies from the UK.
