S. Korea, Russia to meet on tech, energy development

SEOUL, June 28 (Yonhap) -- South Korea and Russia will discuss ways to enhance
cooperation in resource development, science technology and other areas of mutual
benefit in a meeting to be held this week, Seoul officials said Sunday.
Officials from the economy, science, energy and transportation ministries of both
nations will gather during the meeting scheduled to take place on Wednesday in
Seoul, according to South Korea's finance ministry.
For the one-day gathering, Russia will send around 50 government officials led by
V. F. Basargin, the nation's minister of regional development, it added.
Top agenda items will include cooperation in the fields of energy, resource
development, transportation, construction, science technology and maritime
affairs, the Seoul finance ministry said.
