Founding Anniversary of Kanggye Youth Power Station Observed

Pyongyang, April 29 (KCNA) -- A meeting took place on April 28 to mark the 60th founding anniversary of the Kanggye Youth Power Station in the DPRK.
Present there were Jon Hyon Chol, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), Jon Sung Guk, vice premier of the Cabinet, Kim Yu Il, minister of Electric Power Industry, Kang Pong Hun, chief secretary of the Jagang Provincial Committee of the WPK, and officials and employees of the power station.
Jon Hyon Chol conveyed a congratulatory message from the Central Committee of the WPK to the workers, technicians and officials of the power station.
The WPK Central Committee in the message said that the course, covered by the power station since President Kim Il Sung visited the completed station on April 29, Juche 53 (1964) to declare its inauguration, is run through with the devotion of the power producers who have been faithful to the Party and the revolution, the country and the people.
The struggle of the workers, who have ensured the full-capacity operation of equipment with the pride and honor of operating the generator awarded with the title of Labor Hero on an instruction of Chairman Kim Jong Il, has become a living example of how to defend and glorify the leadership exploits of the Party, the message noted.
The message recalled the new encouraging successes achieved by the workers, technicians and officials of the power station in production and management of the power station true to the Party's ideas and policy for the past 10 years.
Kim Chol Nam, manager of the power station, made a report to be followed by speeches.
The reporter and speakers called for playing the vanguard role in implementing the decisions of the Eighth Congress of the WPK and the Ninth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the WPK, rallied close around the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, and thus making a tangible contribution to the comprehensive rejuvenation and development of the country. -0-
